Kazakhstan’s second appearance at the Venice Biennale, the exhibition "Jerūiyq: Journey Beyond the Horizon", curated by Danagul Tolepbay and Anvar Musrepov and commissioned by the Minister of Culture Aida Balayeva, reinterprets the mythical Kazakh promise-land legend of Jerūiyq through a multi-generational chronicle of artworks (from the 1970s to contemporary media) highlighting the nation's evolving utopian imagination, decolonial futurism, and cultural resilience
