Prior to his role as an independent art consultant, Vladislav Sludskiy served as a director and curator of Ethan Cohen Gallery in New York, where he organized and co-curated solo and group exhibitions featuring artists such as Ai Weiwei, Xu Bing, Qiu Zhijie, Gonzalo Mabunda, Moffat Takadiwa, and Andy Warhol, among others.

A native of Almaty, Kazakhstan, Vladislav co-founded and ran ARTBAT FEST, an annual international contemporary art festival serving the Central Asian region since 2010. He is the co-founder and curator for the Eurasian Cultural Alliance (ECA) which has been spearheading educational initiatives across the region and fostering cultural exchange between Kazakhstan and the global art community. ECA has presented exhibitions at notable venues including the PERMM Museum of Contemporary Art in Russia, the Strasbourg Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMCS) in France, the National Museum of Kazakhstan in Astana, and the Kasteyev Museum of Fine Arts in Almaty.

Vladislav’s recent curatorial work includes a public art program for the highly anticipated Astana EXPO 2017. Together with Leeza Ahmady, he organized and co-curated a Kyzyl Tractor exhibition at MANA Contemporary as part of Asia Contemporary Art Week New York in 2018. Having developed an extensive network of industry professionals over his decade-long career in the arts, Vladislav continues to collaborate with prominent international galleries, artists, and curators on various projects and initiatives. In the summer of 2019 Sludskiy founded Qazart.com - an online platform for international collectors, curators, and artists that contributes to the art community of Kazakhstan with an aim to expand to Central Asia.

Vladislav lives and works in New York City since 2011. At present, he serves as an independent consultant assisting clients in a wide range of services. These include commissioning public art pieces, acquiring artworks from galleries and auction houses, collection management, and logistics.

Vladislav’s curatorial work and articles have appeared in Esquire, Forbes, Brooklyn Rail, Ocula, Huffington Post, Harper’s Bazaar, Art Asia Pacific, and Buro 24/7, a number of catalogues and recently published book “Can Art Aid in Resolving Conflicts: 100 perspectives.”
